Scope of Bulletin #2

Bulletin 1 was issued in January and preliminary entry was open until the end of Feb 2022. Now, the final entry phase is running until 15th of May and numerous teams have already entered.

Of course, all teams are now preparing their participation. This Bulletin should be delivering the currently needed information. If there is anything that is missing, please do not hesitate to contact us by email. Our contacts are listed at the end of this Bulletin.

Delivery of Personal Data

We will send a form to the TM who will provide the required information.

The flightline

We will use the flightline for F4C in both classes. Main runway is tarmac, but it is short grass on both edges. It runs North/south.The red box marked F4H will just be used as spare training runway.

Model Crates (Transport and Shipment)

Meanwhile the teams are already preparing their own journey, and also the transportation of their models. If models are being shipped by air transport, the shipment address is the following:

A return address label for your model crate must be provided by each pilot at the conclusion of the Scale World Championship and affixed to the model crate by the pilot.
Shipments by any other means or car/camper/truck must be handled directly by the model owner or pilot.

Fuel, Gas, Batteries and Compressed Air

  • Due to airline restrictions on the transportation of fuel, including jet fuel and oil and also batteries , supplies will be available on site for competitors if needed.
  • If you are not able to transport your own supplies, please contact us until en of May by email paul.anthonisen@gmail.com. We will provide the required supplies to you, which must be paid during the check-in and registration trough the TM at the airfield.
  • Power plugs for air compressors and charging devices are delivered by the organizers for each team at their space in the model hangar.

Accommodation

Since the competition takes place during summer high season, please book your accommodation as soon as possible. Contacts see Bulletin 1 – Accommodation.

Camping on site is possible with power and WC/shower. 20 euro night. Payment at the site when arriving. TM must send in reservation for the Team before 30 May.
Card payment possible.

Practice Flights / Training Schedule

Practice Flying will take place from Thursday, July 21 until Saturday, July 23 based on a line up system controlled by the flighline directors. Practice flying takes place at the very same place as the contest flights. No practice flights will be allowed for the duration of the contest after the first round of flying has commenced.

Model Aircraft Specification Certificates and Contestant Declaration Form

The fully completed, signed and stamped by the applicable NAC, Model Aircraft Specification Certificates and Contestant Declaration Forms for each team member must be handed in during the initial registration (3 copies).

Airfield Access and Opening Hours

The Hangars will be closed and locked from 20:00 to 07:00

Internet Access

There will be wireless internet at the airfield.

Electricity

50Hz/230Volt power will be provided on site and in the model storage area. Each team may bring their own power converters and plug adapters to the Norwegian standard outlet (find it at your local DIY-Store).
